David
T. Acalin received a Bachelor's degree in Political Science from the
University of California at Los Angeles in 1980. He then went on to
earn his Juris Doctorate degree from Pepperdine University in 1984,
after having received a highly prized Dalmatian American
Scholarship.
Practicing law since 1984, Mr. Acalin
has been a partner at Marks & Acalin since 1986. Having tried
scores of jury trials on a variety of legal matters, including
personal injury, medical malpractice and business litigation, Mr.
Acalin exudes confidence in the trial courtroom. He is dedicated to
his clients and understands that when individuals are in need of
legal counsel, they are usually at a vulnerable time in their life.

guest speaker to various churches and non-profit organizations on a
variety of immigration issues. Satisfied in the ability to help and
educate those in need, Mr. Acalin has co-produced numerous legal
educational programs for television, including Univision. He also
authored a published appellate court opinion that radically affected
litigants’ fights in California, and has been a counsel of record in
many highly publicized cases.
Mr. Acalin is admitted to practice
before all of the courts of the State of California, the Federal
District Court, and the U.S. Immigration Court. He is a member in
good standing with the California State Bar, Los Angeles County Bar
Association, Santa Monica Bar Association, Long Beach Bar
Association, the American Immigration Lawyers Association, Consumer
Attorney Association, and the Dalmatian American Club.
Mr. Acalin is also involved with many
charitable and local community organizations, including volunteer
work with the Los Angeles AIDS project, “Feeding The Homeless
Program”. He is a devoted husband and a dedicated father to his two
children.
