HIGH PROFILE SCHOOL BUS ACCIDENT
A bus full of children on their way to
school are involved in a horrible motor vehicle accident with a
trash truck that kills one child and severely injures
dozens
of other children on the bus. The trash truck suffered a mechanical malfunction of the mechanism that allows
the truck to pick up trash bins to be
dumped into the top of the truck. The arm of this mechanism
unexpectedly came down as the trash
truck was passing the school bus and it
cut through the side of the bus like a knife through butter. One of
the children was decapitated and his head fell into the lap of one
of the child sitting next to him. Attorney David T. Acalin
represented 13 of the children on the school bus. After an extended
lawsuit this matter was settled for a very significant amount of
money, in the seven figures, but the settlement amounts are
confidential and cannot be disclosed.
